this is kind of a "first day of the rest of my life" moment, by which i mean, The First Week Of My Reduced Hours!!! feeling pretty great about it!!! i reordered my planner and to do lists and i think everything is going to be ..,,just a bit easier going on! WOO!!
yesterday my dad and i decided that we'll be building a quarterpipe in the backyard over spring break, which is in two weeks for him. SO EXCITED! TO HAVE THAT AROUND! the closest halfpipe is a 40 minute drive from here!! my dad built his first halfpipe in his backyard when he was in high school, so this also feels like i'm starting to catch up to his cool factor just a teeny tiny bit. stay tuned for updates!
also reorganized my room yesterday. i've been thinking about buying a new bookshelf and was planning to save it as a birthday present for myself, but then yesterday i remembered that there's been a cabinet sitting around that i've meant to use in my room for, like, Literal Months, and just somehow forgot about?? SO i finally went around and did that! i put the bench back in my room too--it means everything is a little bit more cramped, but i honestly prefer having less Vacant Floor Space.
i just love this room so much!! still need to get more capsules for the gumball machine Soon...
SO FAR as a First Day Of The Rest of My Life goes, this is going pretty good! already got all the shop stuff done and going to work on house rules for a bit once i finish typing this up. i've released a lot of,, Expectations ,, so i'm just feeling way better having fun with stuff.
was feeling pretty bad in a 14 year old way last night and this morning i got to have that awesome recurrent revelation that i am Still 21 Years Old. like yeah of course i still act and feel like a teenager sometimes... i'm in the earliest of the early 20s. there's actually no world where i don't look back in 10 years and cringe a little bit at the way i'm acting right now. soooo why should i feel bad being embarrassing when it's inevitable? i'm gonna do what i want!
